My client is looking to employ a Technical Assistant based in Northampton
The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be part of a small Technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding food safety and quality procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
- · Monitoring and verification of quality control checks ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- · Carrying out GMP audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
- · Carrying out Fabrication and Glass and Plastic audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
- · Coordinate actions for non-conformances with relevant teams to effectively implement corrective and preventative actions.
- · Training of operatives in relation to food safety and quality requirements
- · Assisting with external audits such as BRCGS.
- · Assisting with completing export product checks and paperwork
- · Complete designated tasks as defined in the quality management and HACCP system.
Essential Criteria:
- · Food Related Qualification or proven related experience
- · Knowledge of HACCP principles
- · IT Literate
- · Excellent organisation and communication skills
- · Competent in record keeping
- · Motivated with ability to work on own initiative
- · Have a can-do attitude and commitment to safety
- · Flexibility towards working hours
