Supply Chain Manager

Our client, a rapidly growing organisation operating within the food ingredients and FMCG sector, is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop its end-to-end supply chain function. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and hands-on supply chain professional to drive operational excellence, enhance customer service, and support continued business growth.

 

Job Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain operation, including customer service, imports, warehousing, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. You will lead multiple teams, drive performance against key business metrics, and ensure the supply chain is aligned to support both customer expectations and commercial objectives.

This role requires a proactive leader with broad supply chain experience, strong people management skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain function, ensuring operational performance supports business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership across Customer Service, Imports, and Warehouse teams, ensuring alignment of people, processes, and priorities.
  • Take ownership of key performance metrics across service, inventory, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer service, improve processes, and reduce operational costs.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Procurement, and Finance teams to support business objectives and customer demand requirements.
  • Oversee inventory management, imports, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure continuity of supply and efficient execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and key internal stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability and service excellence.
  • Analyse operational data and implement action plans to improve performance and deliver sustainable results.
  • Ensure supply chain processes are scalable and capable of supporting future business growth.

Personal Profile

  • Proven experience across end-to-end supply chain operations, including customer service, imports, warehousing, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Previous people management experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of KPI management, operational performance, and cost control.
  • Experience driving process improvements and delivering change within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to balance customer requirements with operational efficiency.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Relevant supply chain qualification would be advantageous.
