Product Developer

Our client is a leading company that is looking to bring on board a talented Product Developer for their facility in the Richmond Hill area. In this exciting new position, you will take a lead role in idea conception to finished production. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees. Please note this is an in office position (no remote).

What we are looking for you to do:

• Research, formulation and development of new products within timelines including; basic costing, processing requirements, SOPs and specifications
• Develop component elements to be manufactured
• Construct new product samples
• Manage ingredient functionality and recipe formulation within processing parameters
• Source new and innovative ingredients
• Prepare and present samples and specifications
• Provide for the design and development of ingredient, product and packaging specifications
• Develop analytic methods and control techniques for raw materials and finished goods
• Investigate, report and make recommendations on technical issues which may impact the business
• Provide technical support to external and internal customers (Customers, Sales, QA and Ops)

The ideal candidate will have:

• Product Development experience with a minimum 3 years in food manufacturing
• Experience with taking products through idea concept, prototyping, and commercialization
• Degree in Food Science or related science required
