We are partnering with a well-established, international business in the health and consumer sector to appoint a People Manager for a key site in Guernsey, with responsibility for supporting both local operations and a UK-based customer contact centre.

This is a broad, hands-on role offering real influence—ideal for someone who enjoys operating both strategically and operationally, and who wants to play a key role in shaping a high-performing, people-focused culture.

 

The Opportunity

 

You’ll take ownership of the full people agenda, working closely with senior leadership to support business objectives through effective people strategies. This will include everything from workforce planning and recruitment through to employee relations, learning & development, and organisational design.

You’ll also act as the go-to expert on employment matters, ensuring policies, processes, and practices are aligned, compliant, and support a positive employee experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver the local people strategy aligned to wider business goals

Drive a high-performance, engagement-led culture across the organisation

Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives

Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations and employment legislation

Manage payroll coordination, benefits, and reporting processes

Support learning & development programmes and career progression frameworks

Ensure HR systems, data, and processes are effectively managed and compliant

Partner with leadership to support organisational design and change initiatives

 

About You

Experienced HR generalist with a strong operational and strategic mindset

Confident working in a standalone or lead People role within a fast-paced environment

Strong knowledge of employment legislation (Guernsey highly desirable, UK beneficial)

Commercially aware, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities

Excellent communicator with the ability to build credibility across all levels

Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable taking ownership

CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) is expected, along with a solid background across core HR disciplines.

 

Additional Information

This role is based in Guernsey, with occasional travel to the UK. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Guernsey.
