We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join the maintenance team at our Dunmore, PA manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical and mechanical systems supporting high-volume food-processing and packaging operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, mechanically inclined electrician who can independently diagnose equipment problems and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production, processing, packaging, and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control-system issues to minimize production downtime.
- Diagnose electrical faults involving motors, sensors, switches, relays, control panels, wiring and other industrial electrical components.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, automated controls and electrical control systems and assist with equipment integration and modifications.
- Install, wire, test and maintain motors, electrical components, conduit, wiring, controls, and distribution equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous-improvement projects.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and determine the root cause of failures to prevent recurring issues.
- Complete scheduled maintenance activities and accurately document repairs, parts used and equipment issues.
- Work closely with production and other maintenance personnel to prioritize repairs and keep production running efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, electrical safety requirements, and applicable OSHA regulations.
- Work in accordance with Maid-Rite's food-safety programs, including HACCP/HARPC and SQF requirements, to ensure maintenance activities do not compromise product safety.
- Follow proper lockout/tagout and machine-safety procedures when performing maintenance.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably within food processing, meat processing, packaging, or another high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Valid Pennsylvania electrical license, certification or documented industrial electrical qualification, as applicable to the position.
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and control systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, controls, and automated production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications acquired through education and/or relevant industrial experience.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately work with measurements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently and efficiently.
- Must be comfortable working in a food-processing/manufacturing environment, including areas where temperatures, noise and wet conditions may vary.
- Must be able to work at heights and safely use ladders, platforms, and other approved access equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Must provide and maintain a complete set of professional hand tools appropriate for industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance.

- Ability to work independently as well as effectively with production and maintenance teams.
- Willingness to work a flexible manufacturing schedule and respond to equipment breakdowns when required.
