Are you passionate about health and safety and ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic food manufacturing environment?

We are seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to take ownership of day-to-day health and safety management across our busy factory site in North West London.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced operation with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and support compliance with ISO45001 standards.
  • Oversee routine safety checks, maintenance, and coordination of site equipment (FLT, ovens, scissor lifts, refrigeration, LEVs, boilers, etc.).
  • Deliver in-house H&S training (e-learning, COSHH, PPE, induction, etc.).
  • Manage and maintain the Legionella control program (flushing, checks, sampling).
  • Support with risk assessments, accident investigations, and RIDDOR reporting.
  • Conduct site audits covering housekeeping, waste control, and safety compliance.
  • Manage the permit to work scheme for contractors, including Hot Work permits.
  • Contribute to wider administrative and business development tasks as required.
  • Monitor and implement changes in HSE legislation and best practices.

 

What they are looking For

  • A current NEBOSH Certificate or working towards attaining one
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Knowledge of first aid, fire safety, food safety, and IPAF – current certifications desirable.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks within budget constraints.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to driving safety culture.
