Our client is a globally recognised organisation within the food industry, dedicated to driving food safety, integrity, and continuous improvement across the supply chain. Through robust benchmarking, assessment, and collaboration with key stakeholders, they ensure that food certification programmes remain credible, consistent, and effective. Joining this team means contributing to the advancement of global food safety standards and shaping best practices across the industry.

You will be responsible for conducting benchmarking and assessment activities. This will involve reviewing and auditing, ensuring alignment with company requirements, and working closely with stakeholders to drive technical excellence and compliance. This role requires both technical expertise and strong stakeholder management skills, with the opportunity to make a direct impact on the global food safety landscape.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Conducting all aspects of client audits for accredited certification against approved schemes
  • Planning, preparation and management of client audit activities
  • Using all relevant certification databases and software applications for audit activities
  • Maintaining and developing own technical competencies and skills for audit activities
  • Lead, organise and deliver specific project activities as industry project management, Customer management assessment, gap analysis, training, workshops.
  • Maintaining effective communication with line management, between audit team members and client stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the correct use of production tools dedicated to auditing activities and the communication of updated data, in order to allow proper issue and management of certificates.

Person Profile

  • Previous experience in the food industry, with mid-senior level food safety management and auditing responsibility.
  • Ideally candidates will have experience of management systems and have qualifications and approvals for auditing key food sector schemes mainly on BRC, IFS. Internal auditing or second party audit experience would also be valuable.
  • Ideally a registered BRC or IFS auditor
  • Experience in a wide range of product categories
  • Experience with all levels of operations, including engagement with senior management
