Bilingual Food Safety Coordinator (English/Spanish)
As a Food Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing supplier compliance and ensuring food safety documentation aligns with regulatory and customer standards across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and assess new suppliers selected by the Commercial and Procurement teams.
- Complete supplier pre-qualification questionnaires, verifying manufacturing site details, supply chain data, and product compliance with import regulations (e.g., microbiology, pesticides, heavy metals).
- Request and collect comprehensive food safety and technical documentation from global suppliers in accordance with internal SOPs.
- Review and approve documents to ensure alignment with food safety standards and supplier food safety systems.
- Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements.
- Collaborate with Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) team members to confirm that supplier documentation meets customer food safety requirements prior to submission.
- Upload food safety documentation to customer portals as needed.
- Maintain accurate, well-organized electronic records and document management systems.
- Ensure clear, professional communication with international suppliers.
- Perform additional administrative and support tasks as needed.

Additional Language Skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish is essential due to the need for regular communication with external stakeholders and management of documentation in English.
- Proficiency in French is preferred and considered an asset.
Education & Experience
- Educational background in food safety or quality, with relevant training in microbiology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the food industry.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with SAP Business One (SAPB1) is an asset.
