Financial Business Analyst

Our client, a well-established international organisation operating within the FMCG and food manufacturing sector, is seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Business Analyst to join its Finance team in the Netherlands. Job Role

Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, the Financial Business Analyst will support the wider Finance team by providing financial analysis, business reporting, accounts receivable support, and credit control administration. Working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders, you will help improve financial performance through accurate reporting, process improvements, and proactive analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business cases and supporting documentation for customer credit limit applications.
• Monitor customer credit limits and support the annual renewal of credit insurance.
• Produce accounts receivable reports and management summaries.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and proactively support timely collections.
• Investigate and resolve invoice disputes, working closely with internal departments and customers.
• Prepare regular financial reports, business analysis, and management presentations.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close activities.
• Analyse financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business performance.
• Assist with variance analysis, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across financial planning and reporting processes.
• Assist with insurance administration relating to company assets and operations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and provide administrative support to the Finance department.
• Ensure financial documentation is maintained accurately and in line with company procedures.

Personal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 2 years' experience within Finance, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, or a similar analytical role.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience using SAP and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
• Fluent Dutch language skills are essential.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Candidates must already be based in the Netherlands and able to commute to the office on a daily basis.
