Our client is an expanding food manufacturing company looking to add a Finance Manager to their team to lead the organization’s financial operations. This role is to ensure accurate financial records, timely month-end close, and continuous improvement of finance processes to support strategic decision-making. What we are looking for you to do:
- Lead payroll administration and accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and appropriate internal controls.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Analyze accounts, aging reports, inventory balances, payroll costs, overhead expenses, margins, and operational results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead monthly actual reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
- Oversee inventory control activities, including inventory analysis, costing support, and review of obsolete, waste, or slow-moving inventory.
- Prepare treasury and cash flow forecasts, support banking relationships, and provide recommendations related to cash flow, credit, and foreign exchange exposure.
- Ensure required statutory filings are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Recommend and implement process improvements related to payment processing, reporting, financial controls, and ERP utilization.
- Support capital expenditure planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure appropriate financial oversight of CAPEX projects.
- Ensure accurate and reliable monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Month-end closes completed within 7 days.
- Improve efficiency, accuracy, and control in payment processes.
- Enhance visibility into payroll costs, overhead, inventory performance, and cash flow requirements.
- Detailed cost accounting measuring unit economics.
What we require:
- CPA designation required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required.
- 4+ years Finance Manager experience required.
- 3+ years Food manufacturing company experience required.
- Advanced Excel skills, financial data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with year-end close processes and coordination with external accountants.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, SPIRE.
- Please note this is an in office position Monday- Friday days.
