Director of Manufacturing

$165,000 + Incentives

Our client, a leading CPG manufacturing company, is looking to bring on board a hands on, continuous improvement oriented Director of Manufacturing for their facility in the Brantford area.

In this exciting position, you will oversee and optimize the day-to-day operating system of the organization. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees.

What we are looking for you to do:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices across manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that drive business growth and enhance productivity.
  • Implement new policies and procedures.
  • Entrepreneurial experience in terms of building from the ground up.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Manufacturing regulations. Champion a H&S culture.
  • Ensure that production meets and exceeds standards for food safety, cost, quality, productivity, and customer service.
  • Ensure that plant efficiency is maintained at the highest possible level without sacrificing safety, quality and plant standards.
  • Assist in the development of operational and capital budgets, policies and procedures.
  • Oversee project management initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Implement change management and drive employee engagement.
  • Review, maintain, control and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate and implement lean principles across all aspects of manufacturing.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team development and innovation.
  • Continually coach, direct and train employees utilizing CI principles.
  • Ensure all departments are running efficiently.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and make data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of senior manufacturing management experience required.
  • 5+ years of CPG manufacturing experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • IWS experience required. 5S may also be considered.
