Business Development Manager – Food Industry (B2B)

€70,000K–€90,000K + bonus

France, Germany or the Netherlands (potential hybrid working)

We are working with a well-established European food business looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across Industrial, B2B, Food Service and HORECA channels.

This is a true business development role, suited to someone who enjoys opening doors, developing new markets and building long-term customer relationships within the food industry.

The role is flexible to offer hybrid working and is open to candidates based in France, Germany or the Netherlands, and also those currently in the UK who would be willing to relocate to Rotterdam. There will be regular travel across Europe to meet customers and attend industry events.

The Role

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across European markets
  • Building relationships with industrial food manufacturers, distributors, food service operators and HORECA customers
  • Managing the full commercial cycle, from prospecting through to negotiation and closing
  • Representing the company at customer meetings, trade exhibitions and industry events
  • Working closely with technical, marketing and supply chain teams to deliver customer solutions

We are interested in speaking with people who:

  • Have B2B sales experience within the food industry
  • Have knowledge of Industrial, Food Service or HORECA channels
  • Enjoy developing new business rather than managing existing accounts
  • Are commercially minded and confident working with numbers
  • Are comfortable building relationships and negotiating with customers
  • The successful candidate should be comfortable with travel as part of a business development role.

Existing relationships with distributors, industrial food manufacturers or HORECA operators would be highly advantageous.

As English is the working language of the business, fluent English will be needed; native English is not required. French or German would be beneficial.

  • €70K–€90K base salary (guide only – flexible depending on experience)
