Warehouse Manager

£35k per annum

Our client is manufacture based in Kent who rely on the efficiency and effectiveness of their warehouse operations. They consider their warehouses to be a well-oiled machine, driven by a customer-centric mentality. They are seeking a warehouse manager to join their team and manage operations within their warehouse.

Job Role
This professional multitasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfilment of thousands of product orders every year.

Responsibilities
• Supervise and participate in daily activities of the warehouse (to include loading and
unloading of vehicles and moving stock between warehouse and production), quality
assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
• Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
• Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
• Meet regularly with Production to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for
productivity and loss prevention
• Arrange with suppliers the disposal of reject material and monitor receipt of credit
• Manage logistics utilised to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
• Reconcile raw picking sheet with daily production schedule. Highlight and resolve raw
material issues that affect same day production plans with Production Manager and
Leadership Team
• Review inbound delivery schedule and plan receipts/storage and paperwork requirements
• Stocktake one section of warehouse per week recording information for monthly
Stocktakes
• Compile prestart and end of day checks
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards
• Ensure that warehouse and all equipment (including Forklifts) is secure at all times.
• Attend daily production meeting – note changes in plans for the day/week and revise plans if necessary
• Coordinate, check off and liaise with accounts for all transportation costs and requirements. Coordinate and book transportation for client deliveries
• Allocate daily supplier delivery slots
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules
• Maintain warehouse and logistics health and safety procedures
• Coordinate and resolve late supplier delivery issues, advising office and production where necessary
• Coordinate and managed importation and exportation of raw and finished materials
• Arrange daily transfer of goods in paperwork to the office and accounts
• Maintain QC standards and procedures. Repacking damaged materials

Personal Profile
• 3+ year’s experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
• Current Forklift License
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products
• Experience dealing with stock management and inputting data onto the internal
• WMS/ERP
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
• Ability to work with all levels of company staff
• Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
