To Ensure quality, safety and legality across two manufacturing sites for a company which has been heavily invested in to prepare for an increase in volume. 

Formed from a long-established farming and butchery family, the business is expanding their technical department due to substantial growth. Now operating from a purpose built BRC accredited site, they create and produce award winning fresh and frozen bespoke meals. They have heavily invested over the past six months in preparation for the increase in volume and the time is now right to recruit a Technical Manager to join the team. The company currently is split into two manufacturing sites and with relatively small teams the role with be a 50/50 split between production and office. 

Key Accountabilities
•    Responsibility for both manufacturing sites
•    To take responsibility for food safety, quality management and customer complaints
•    To develop and implement the Technical and Quality policy
•    To manage external and third party audits
•    To continually develop the HACCP system
•    To take full responsibility for all site technical activity, ensuring that the factory and the products meet the standards required by customers and all relevant food legislation
•    To work closely with other members of the senior management team to continue in the development of the Company 
•    Work with the Head of Technical to develop a technical strategy that enables the business to maintain high levels of operational effectiveness.


Person Profile
•    Previous experience in technical management
•    BSc or equivalent (food related)
•    Operating within the guidelines of BRCGS and customer standards 
•    Good knowledge of retailer specification portals and artworks approval systems
•     HACCP level 3 or above (TACCP / VACCP)
•    Knowledge of high-risk food preparation / cooking manufactory
•    Able to demonstrate areas of change management 
•    Site based role 50 % factory 50% Office based
