Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, as they further expand their sales presence and develop their trade expansion plans, they are now looking for a Relationship Sales Developer.
Key Accountabilities
Prospect and contact potential new customers through various means including cold calls, business directories, targeted lists and referrals.
Proactively contacting lapsed and existing customers establishing and building relationships through research to quotation conversions for new business.
Qualifying sales opportunities from incoming calls and emails, the majority of which you will take to order, although some may be passed to a field sales representative.
Present and sell company products to new and existing customers with knowledge and confidence.
Ability to close new leads to small, medium & large customers, negotiate prices, providing quotations and agreeing sales.
Manage and record all sales activities.
Work alongside the team to support customer service and order entry colleagues.
Provide feedback from customers to internal colleagues to help enhance our offerings and services.
Work alongside the Marketing team to devise and promote sales campaigns to drive new business.
Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure that both internal and external relationships are managed to the highest standard of professionalism.
Personal Profile
Very highly developed communications skills both written and verbal
Previous sales experience in a similar role, preferably within a sales development environment
Experience within the building supplies and/or equipment sales particularly of interest
A natural relationship builder, keenly customer focussed
Strong commercial awareness, with a team spirit
Strong negotiation skills with an ability to close deals effectively
Ability to work efficiently using own initiative to resolve issues
Happy to work under pressure and to tight timescales, prioritising as appropriate
PC literate with strong skills in MS-Office
This is an office-based role
There is flexibility for this role to be either full time or potentially part time at 20 hours per week.
