Regulatory Affairs Specialist required for this well-established global natural ingredients business to be responsible for ensuring that the organisation to meet all its regulatory and customer requirements
The Company
This well-established global business is a supplier of a wide variety of high-quality, natural ingredients to some of the world’s largest food, beverage and pharmaceutical companies. They are now looking to recruit a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, to be responsible for ensuring that the organisation to meet all its regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities
Working with existing products as well as new ones reviewing raw materials and formulations
Documentation such as allergen control declarations, non-GMO declarations, HACCP plans, ingredient screening and testing documents, food safety and sanitation programmes and end product labelling guidance
Check compliance for products, halal and kosher certifications, and applicable legislation
Providing high quality technical scientific and regulatory advice to colleagues and clients
Contributing to successful completion of complex, multi-discipline projects, including regulatory submissions
Working as part of the team monitoring regulatory activities and compliance and acting as liaison for external regulatory authorities
Building and developing successful client relationships
Keeping up to date with the changes affecting the regulatory environment
Cross-functional teamwork skills to support the team with a thorough understanding of quality assurance safety technology and processes in the following: testing and auditing documentation, data collection and analysis and knowledge transfer
Coordinate rapid response food alerts to determine impact and provide timely and risk-based response

Personal Profile
Suitable for those currently working in regulatory affairs or with an interest in the sector together with experience in technical/quality type roles
Preferably degree educated in food science, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, nutrition or related field
Knowledge of or an interest in regulatory frameworks relating to food, beverages and pharmaceuticals
A good understanding of the food manufacturing sector or chemical sector
Organisation will be the key to this role, managing a wide variety of tasks and projects at any one time
A team player who can also work independently
Meticulous and detail orientated to ensure that the products meet all laws and regulations, and provide customers with the required information
As regulations are constantly changing and evolving, adaptability and flexibility are important for the post holder
Excellent language skills, clear and concise in both written and spoken English, there will be a lot of reading, disseminating, and preparing complex documentation
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver positive outcomes
