Production Manager

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company is looking for a Production Manager to join their team. In this exciting position, you will take a lead role in completing production targets, staff management and oversee plant operations. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees.

What you will do in this role:

• Provides leadership and direction to staff including motivating, mentoring, and cross-training.
• Participate in ongoing H&S training, audits etc.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining product integrity, practicing highest levels of GMP’s and conforming to all company’s food safety programs and SOPs.
• Review daily production schedules while working with plans and advise management of any discrepancies or issues to ensure production process meets and exceeds expected KPIs, attainment and efficiencies.
• Ensure that all supply plan requirements for manufactured goods are met.
• Monitor and maintain productivity targets, with a high emphasis on efficiency improvement and cost of goods reduction.
• Coordinate and develop documentation, standards, and processes to ensure quality and consistency in the manufacturing process.

What you will bring to the role:

• 8+ years production management experience within the food manufacturing industry required.
• Clear criminal record.
• Unionized experience.
