Management Accountant

Our client based in the Midlands are searching for a Management Accountant to join their business in a new role for the company.

Job Role
In this role you will be utilising your technical accounting expertise to provide the following support for the office based in the Midlands, as well as affiliated UK businesses.

Requirements
• Preparation of monthly management reporting and annual financial statements for business unit
• This will include variance analysis vs. budget and forecast, capex and balance sheet reporting, intercompany and production of Board reporting pack schedules
• Supporting with weekly/monthly/quarterly cash flow forecasts for the business unit as required
• Supporting the sales ledger process to ensure invoices are raised and settled in a timely manner to support the cash flow of the business
• Working closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure integrity of the ledgers and accurate financial reporting for project companies
• Responding to group finance team requests in relation to the business unit
• Provision of information to, and liaison with, auditors to ensure effective annual audit process for the business unit
• Wider finance team and ad-hoc project support as required

Personal Profile
• Experience of end-to-end production of management accounts
• Good Microsoft Excel working knowledge
• Experience of production of statutory accounts desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to be pro-active and challenge others, or escalate to others, where appropriate
• Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to work with people across the organisation and at different levels
