Our client is a leading and growing commodity (proteins, produce) brokerage company that is looking to bring on board a talented Logistics Coordinator.
Please note this is an onsite position, there is no remote capability.
What we are looking for you to do:
- Complete traffic coordination duties for domestic traffic, specifically for the Director of North American Sales
- Ensure all product is delivered on time and in a good manner
- Update customers on timelines as needed
- Handle customer inquiries
- Track inventory and make adjustments as needed
- Connect with third party suppliers to move product
- Send shipping instructions to freight carriers and suppliers
- Ensure information is data entered in to accounting system
- Liaise with trucking companies to ensure they are meeting pick up and delivery timelines
- Invoice customers within 24 hours of shipment being delivered
- Maintain relationships with trucking companies and brokers; receive clean bills of lading
- Follow-up with trucking companies or customers to ensure product is received at the destination – on time and of quality
- Receive invoice from suppliers in Microsoft Dynamics Navision
- Assist with troubleshooting issues as required
- Negotiate rates
- Assist other TC for shipping in Canada or within US
- Review and update shipping log daily and identify key shipments to track
- Track shipments from previous night and ensure they are on time for delivery appointments
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of logistics experience
- Experience within the food service industry is considered an asset
