A leading supplier of premium chilled, frozen and prepared foods with BRC accredited manufacturing operations are looking for a Development Manager

Key Accountabilities:

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage existing/new development projects
• Ensure NPD is tailored to our factory processes
• Daily Development updates for ongoing/new product development with the senior team
• Working closely with technical to ensure any new raw materials sourced are signed off before use within development.
• Ensure all products developed meet customer requirements
• Attend production trials across both sites collating the information required with the operations manager.
• Run the weekly development meeting
• Training on recipe processing, scaling & nutritionals
• Scaling recipes for production & adding operation processes and work instructions in liaison with production
• Manage potential cost efficiencies within the department
• Implementing new procedures to streamline the development cycle

Person Specification:

• Degree or equivalent in a food related subject
• Previous experience working in an NPD team
• Experience of attending factory trials and working in a process role 
• Excellent communication skills

Hours: 42.5 hours per week. 7:30am – 16:30pm Monday to Friday
