Credit Controller

28k-30k per annum


Our client who are a leading manufacturer and distributor within the bathroom and heating industry are expanding their finance team so are recruiting for Credit Controllers to join them on a direct employed basis

Role Purpose:
• Timely cash collection and allocation
• Production and distribution of debt reporting
• Understand dynamics of Accounts Receivable to proactively identify signs of payment risk and act upon them
• Accurate maintenance of related accounting / system records

Role Requirements:
Sales invoicing
• Post out weekly sales activity
• Emailing and posting copy invoices/credit notes as required

Cash Collection
• Maximise cash collection for customer accounts to terms
• Ensure accurate allocation of cash received to invoices being settled
• Proactively chase ageing debt
• Allocating of cash payments
• Taking Sage pay card payments
• Authorising of customer orders

Internal Reporting
• Production of aged debt reports and distribution to responsible sales rep
• Proactively highlight current / pending debt issues to ensure acted upon as quickly as possible

External Reporting
• Production of Account Statements
• Continuous improvement
• The expectation is that Finance ways of working and processes should change to find more efficient and reliable processes.
• This individual is expected to proactively challenge the status quo and suggest improvements
• Ongoing maintenance and challenge of standard operating procedures

Customer Service
• Be part of building and supporting a great customer service ethos

Additional Role Related Knowledge:
• Accounting skills (qualification not essential but exposure to accounting processes)
• Credit Control experience required
• Pro-activity, drive, energy, methodical, reliable, attention to detail, organisation and communication skills along with efficient data entry skills
• Ideally demonstrable experience of system usage to detailed level

• £25,000 - £30,000 (with OTE £28,000 - £33,000)

Working Hours:
• Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
