This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established FMCG company as their new Buyer based in Waltham Cross.

Job Role
To deliver annual targets through effective management of a range of Direct spend categories, delivering sustainable value to our client, through the creation & recommendation of appropriate sourcing strategies that represent the requirements of key stakeholders and deliver business benefits aligned to assurance of cost, supply, quality, service and innovation.

To be the Procurement focal point for all in scope categories, including managing supplier performance and gathering market intelligence & insight

Requirements
• Understanding and analysing the Supply Market using a wide range of sourcing tools/ techniques to effectively analyse the suppliers they work with
• Demonstrates general understanding of the wider supply marketplace
• Creating Business Based Sourcing Strategies working with colleagues to develop
appropriate sourcing strategies
• Work with sales colleagues on opportunity management to ensure effective pricing responses are delivered in a timely manner
• Learn from senior colleagues and seeks to increase the input they make to the
business
• Implementation and on-going review, leading implementation of sourcing strategies revising, protecting and enhancing strategy as new information becomes available
• Negotiation Planning & Execution using appropriate methods to prepare for and carry out negotiations
• Develop the knowledge of tools/ techniques so that you can lead more complex future negotiations
• Creation of robust contracts working with Legal & key stakeholders to complete or adapt standard contract documentation to convert business needs into robust contracts with suppliers
• Managing contracts & supplier performance
• Ongoing management of suppliers against agreed SLAs & KPIs to drive compliance & performance
• Coordination and management of regular supplier reviews and actions

Personal Profile
• Experience of Ingredients Management
• Negotiation experience
• Data analysis - demonstrable Excel ability & systems
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Project management experience
• Constructing contract
